Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 16.10.2026
SHUPIT values equal service for everyone, including people with disabilities, and works to make its website accessible in line with Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.1 level AA. Making the site accessible is an ongoing process, and we keep improving it.
1. What has been done
- An accessibility menu (the button in the corner of the screen): larger text, high contrast, grayscale, highlighted links, a readable font, text spacing, a large cursor, a reading guide and a stop-animations switch. Preferences are saved in your browser only.
- Semantic structure: a heading hierarchy, labeled navigation regions and text alternatives for meaningful images.
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page, and full keyboard navigation with a clear focus indicator.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion setting (prefers-reduced-motion): when it is on, scroll animations and transitions are disabled and content is shown statically.
- Hebrew right-to-left by default and an English version left-to-right, each with correct directionality.
- A layout that adapts to desktop, tablet and phone.
2. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:
- The site uses scroll-based animations, some of which pin to the screen. You can turn them off with Stop animations in the accessibility menu or with your operating system's reduced-motion setting.
- The app screens shown on the site are illustrations, and they are described in the text next to them.
- The accessibility menu adjusts how the page looks in your browser and is not a substitute for assistive technology. Some adjustments may not suit every component.
- A full external accessibility audit has not yet been carried out.
- The app, the policy documents and third-party sites that this site links to are not part of this site and may have further limitations.
3. Service accessibility arrangements
The service is provided online and remotely, with no in-person reception. We are happy to adapt how we communicate to your needs.
4. Accessibility requests
Ran into an accessibility problem? We want to know and fix it. Please mention the page, a description of the problem and the assistive technology you used. We aim to reply within 7 business days.
Accessibility coordinator: Details coming soon. Until then, please reach us through the app.
